What does a vineyard cost in Burgundy, France?

Alex Gambal provides a detailed descritpion of the price of vineyard’s in various levels of classification from introductory level “Bourgogne Rouge and Blanc” to the Grand Cru “Batard Montrachet”. For those curious what a parcel in Batard Montrachet costs in 2013, the answer is a minimum of ten million dollars an acre. Alex sat down with Ask a Winemaker on location at Flickinger Wines in Chicago in 2013.
