Buying vineyard land in Burgundy, one of the most expensive places in the world to buy vines, is accomplished through connections with Notaires, local bankers and members of the industry. Alex Gambal of Maison Alex Gambal suggests “playing nice” and “waiting your turn”, but says it is not any harder for him because he is an American in Burgundy. What does it cost?
